Titan Strategic Income Fund, LLC (PCM) generates dependable cash flow with low market exposure. This cash flow can be paid out to clients as dividends or reinvested to compound for long term capital appreciation.

“When everyone begins investing in a strategy, the excess returns disappear.” This was a quote from a prominent investor on Bloomberg TV that caught our attention. Whether it be stock picking, private equity, or venture capital, generating a return greater than the S&P 500 either comes with greater volatility or illiquidity (which mask short term volatility). These investment opportunities cannot promise a performance profile of greater returns, lower volatility, and liquidity. The excess risk-adjusted returns have been traded away from these well-accepted and common approaches. A more attractive performance profile requires a less common approach.

Titan Strategic Income, LLC offers such a less-common approach with the aim of delivering the high return, low volatility, liquid investment vehicle you are looking for. The fund deploys put contracts with a low probability of losing money to generate cash flow with less downside than stock ownership. By monitoring a large and diverse pool of assets, Titan is not only able to find very attractive premiums but is also able to construct diverse portfolios of short maturity options. Titan relies on years of team member options pricing research and trading experience to execute risk-control measures, scour the market for exceptional premiums, and construct diversified short-duration portfolios.

Matthew Peterson, CFA

Matthew Peterson is the Managing Partner of Titan Strategic Income Fund, LLC. The fund was established as a cash management vehicle with a mission to put cash to work in a high return, low volatility strategy.

Matthew has been working as a financial professional for two decades. His experience includes working with global financial services firms Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, American Express, and Ameriprise Financial.

Prior to forming Titan Strategic Income Fund, LLC, Matt founded Peterson Capital Management, LLC and launched Peterson Investment Fund I, LP. He also split time between Wall Street and London as Capital Markets Manager at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants. Matthew worked as a member of both the US and UK offices, with expertise spanning risk management and derivative processing. During his tenure with Diamond, Matthew worked with top-tier investment banks, global payments firms, and international insurance companies to deliver high impact solutions to his clients’ most challenging business problems.

In 2010, Diamond was purchased by PwC and became Diamond Advisory Services.

Before Diamond, Matthew worked with Merrill Lynch and founded M. Peterson Financial Services, a financial planning firm that offered client planning services to American Express Financial Advisors.

Matthew holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in economics and minor in mathematics from the University of Puget Sound. Matthew has lived and worked in China, England, and the United States. Matthew resides in Portugal with his wife, Gamze, and their two children, Isabel and Adrian.
